Message	CX-9s rusting. Believe it or not, I even had the bloody fuel filler tube (not the fuel filling part, but the vent tube for the carbon canister) rust out on my Protege. This was a fun one because here's the symptom - can't fill up gas. Tank is getting close to empty, but because the vent tube was rusted out, rain water would get into the vent tube and fill up the carbon canister with water. So, as you're filling up gas, it clicks right away because it can't vent through the carbon canister. Wasn't a cheap fix. Needed to replace a valve that got damaged by the water, as well as the carbon canister and the fuel filler tube.
